InsideOut | OutsideIn

Bobbi Meier & Steve Meier, March 2014

His head is in the clouds; her head is inside out.

His work is ethereal. Her work is visceral.

He travels through clouds, ungrounded and unsettled; building structures around that which cannot be structured, like the air we breathe.

She moves through a sensitive interior, close to the surface and under the skin, where emotions are felt, pain is soothed and scars remain.

He escapes into the sky to dream. She comes home to bind wounds.

He makes hard patterns that cannot be cut. She embroiders ambiguous symbols of the body.

He finds a safe place for the remnants.  She wraps them tight.
